Grocery Store
Thin Margins Leave No Room for Guessing What Is on the Shelf
A grocery store sells hundreds of low-priced items every day, and a few of them spoil. Over-ordering throws food away. Under-ordering sends the customer to the store down the road.
How InnovanSIS helps
What We Set Up Around Your Day
Fast checkout, accurate stock
Every scan at the register takes the item out of stock, so tomorrow's order starts from numbers and not from walking the aisles.
Expiry dates in view
Products with a shelf life are tracked by lot and expiry date, so the oldest goes out first and nothing surprises you in the back.
Supplier orders that follow demand
Reorder points per item and per supplier turn the weekly order into a short review instead of a long list.
Apps we use
The Apps Behind It
Odoo Community apps, the free open-source edition, set up around how your business works.
Point of Sale
Barcode checkout, weighed items, discounts and several payment types.
Inventory
Lots, expiry dates and stock by department.
Purchase
Orders to suppliers with reorder rules and price history.
Coupons & Loyalty
Loyalty cards and coupons for regular shoppers.
We work with Odoo Community, the open-source edition. InnovanSIS is an independent company, founded by Cuban entrepreneurs, that sets it up around your business; we are not Odoo. Anything marked paid belongs to a paid Odoo edition or to custom work, and we state that before quoting.
Questions
Common Questions
Items sold by weight are supported in the point of sale. Connecting a specific scale depends on the model, so we check yours before promising it.
The point of sale can keep selling for a while if the connection drops and syncs afterward. How long and under which conditions depends on the setup, and we test it with you.
Only where it matters, such as dairy and fresh items. Tracking everything by lot slows down receiving, so we choose the categories together.
